Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair Du-Good Press - Booth E4
Du-Good Press is pleased to participate in the second annual Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair! Experience a vivid array of prints and meet their makers from all over the world. April 9 - 12 at Powerhouse Arts. Tickets now available.
Leaning into my background as an educator, I’ve invited artists to build their ideas by creating works informed by real world editing, proofing, and discovering prints through layers of color communication through the most versatile print medium ever, Screenprinting!
Fundamentally, all that blocks light, casts a shadow. When a screen is coated with photo-emulsion and exposed to light, that essential shape can be frozen and multiplied—a very intricate stencil. Artists used opaque mark-making materials along with direct painting onto the screen and photography to express the build up and redaction of a plan through the screen. Synthesized action, resulting in visual sustenance.
This new selection of prints represents an extended hand. For me sharing the joys of printmaking, for them, generously making a mark in the pages of Du-Good Press.
